Shauna
Dental Assistant
Shauna is one of our very talented dental assistants. She was born and raised in Richmond and graduated from the Professional Career Development Institute in 2001. She has worked as a Registered Dental Assistant in Texas ever since. When Shauna joined our practice in 2007, it seemed like she had been assisting Dr. Janer for years. Many patients notice their seamless workflow and how she can predict the doctor’s every move and anticipate her needs making the dental visit very smooth. Shauna is very detailed oriented and goes out of her way to ensure that the patient is comfortable. She is always thinking of new ideas to make the patient’s experience better.

Shauna is married and has two very handsome and active boys that keep her on her toes constantly. When she is not working, she loves spending time with her family camping, fishing, swimming and riding bikes.
Shaista
Dental Hygienist
Shaista is one of Richmond Landing Family Dentistry’s talented and knowledgeable Dental Hygienists. She obtained her certificate in Dental Hygiene from The University of Texas School of Dentistry. Shaista has been working in dentistry for over 20 years, and has practiced as a licensed dental hygienist since 2007. She finds dentistry both challenging and rewarding.

Shaista fell in love with dentistry when she worked at a dental office, while in college, pursuing an engineering degree. She believes that patient education is paramount in achieving overall health and understands well the relationship between oral and systemic health.
​
While being born in Brooklyn, New York, she considers herself a Texan! Shaista has 3 children, two boys and a girl. Her eldest, a son, is pursuing a career in medicine, while her middle son is attending pastoral ministry school. Her daughter is in high school and loves doing missionary work. Shaista has a cute little Yorkie at home called Dobby. When Shaista has free time, she enjoys salsa dancing, traveling, working out and trying all the different foods Houston offers. Her favorite things are spending time with family and friends and volunteering at the food pantry or anywhere she is needed.

Shaista considers her patients as part of our family and they always compliment her for her gentle touch and attention to detail. You will agree when you meet her.
Julie
Treatment & Appointment Coordinator
Julie is our very warm and personable Treatment/Appointment Coordinator. Her 36 years of experience in dentistry has made her very knowledgeable in all the different facets of dentistry. She is our “zen” – her peaceful and relaxed demeanor help put patients at ease when navigating through treatment options. You can count on her to be your advocate. Julie is truly genuine and sincere and cares about all of our patients. She goes out of her way to be of service to everyone.

Julie is married to her high school sweetheart and they have two grown daughters and one granddaughter. She enjoys arts and crafts, spending time with her family and traveling.

When Julie answers the phone, she is so friendly, you do not want to hang up. We suggest you come meet her instead.
Tiffany
Dental Assistant
Tiffany is one of the Doctors very capable, talented and friendly Dental Assistants. She graduated from Pima Medical Institute and is a registered Dental Assistant in the State of Texas. Tiffany is ambitious and hopes to continue college and attain her Bachelor of Science Degree in Human Resources.

Tiffany chose a career in dentistry because she’s always noticed people’s smiles first. She loves making sure her patients are comfortable during their dental visits making their needs a priority and that they leave the office loving their smile!

Tiffany has beautiful daughter. She enjoys gardening with her family, cooking great food and listening to music. Saturday mornings are special when Tiffany prepares special breakfasts and the family spends time outdoors together. When she has down time alone, she enjoys painting. We are happy to have Tiffany at Richmond Landing Family Dentistry and we know you will enjoy and appreciate her too.
Zulma
Recare Coordinator
Zulma is our friendly and professional Recare Coordinator. She obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and Management and worked for 7 years as an Administrative Assistant before making the decision to be a stay-at-home mom. Zulma knows firsthand that from the moment patients enter the office, until they leave, they can feel at ease and secure their dental needs will be met, because she was a patient at our practice before becoming our colleague. We feel extremely fortunate to have her on our team. She loves seeing the patients leave with a big, beautiful smile on their face.

Zulma has been married for over 19 years and she and her husband have two wonderful kids, a blind doggy and a silly cat, as she describes her tribe at home. They all enjoy spending time fishing, going on vacation and visiting family in Puerto Rico and San Antonio. Zulma loves reading, going to the movies, listening to music and salsa dancing. She is pretty good at it too!

Amber
Financial Coordinator
Amber is our talented and friendly Financial Coordinator. She graduated from Terry High School in Rosenberg and went on to complete the Registered Dental Assistant Program. She has been working in dentistry for over 15 years. Amber joined our practice as a dental assistant and transitioned to her current role a few years ago. Her clinical experienced as a dental assistant enhances her effectiveness in helping patient’s understand the value of their treatment needs. Amber enjoys helping patients finance their dental treatment.

Amber has been married for over 10 years and has two wonderful boys. She enjoys spending her free time shopping and taking care of her family. She is a master in couponing! Ask her about it. The whole family are movie fanatics and they love keeping up with all the latest movie releases. If you want to know what to watch, just ask Amber!
